The annual All School Reads program at Cornelia Connelly School encourages literacy, inspires a love of reading, and serves to unite the community through a common experience. Each year a committee of students and faculty select a book that has literary merit and delivers a strong social message. The book may be fiction or non-fiction, and likely includes diverse characters or role models while also introducing a book, author, or genre students may not choose on their own.
All students, faculty, and staff read the book together at the beginning of each school year. The conclusion of the program includes student-led book discussions and an author visit or related assembly. The community that reads together, grows together!
