The Visual Arts Center (VAC) is beautifully designed with large windows for natural light and public viewing. Unique rolling gallery walls feature students’ art work as classes progress throughout the year. Connelly students study art, painting, sculpture and graphic design. The center contains a kiln, a pottery wheel, several types of work surfaces including metal tables and a light table, and multiple sinks for quick cleanup. “The students love the openness and lighting of the room,” said Pam Toomey ’72, the Fine Arts Department Chair. “Having such an approachable space not only allows them freedom while they are creating, but it invites everyone on campus to see the projects as they come to life.”
