“Curiosity, Creativity & Research . . . such intellectual pursuits combined with a sense of beauty & joy of living, are essential components in forming our students’ attitude toward life.” – The Cornelia Connelly Philosophy
The Foundations course is unique to Cornelia Connelly School in that it serves as the introductory study for a variety of Fine Arts courses. The fundamental elements of art, speech including information literacy, music and coding are studied in breadth. This semester course is provided to allow the student to become confident and comfortable with their abilities in the arts, speech, and technology. This approach to education was envisioned by Cornelia Connelly over 150 years ago. This was fundamental to her educational philosophy for the whole person.
