Congratulations to Kayla Orate ’17 for being awarded the Express League’s Basketball Player of the Year by the Western Athletic Conference! Kayla has been playing pick-up games with family members since she was eight years old.

Kayla was featured in OC Catholic’s June 2016 issue. “It was a family sport,” says Orate of her first exposure to basketball. “Everyone in my family would always play together, and that’s how, I guess, it rubbed off on me.”
